  • Front End Web Developer — Toronto

    Your Role

    As part of the Digital Lumens, Inc. development team, the Front End Web Developer will be working on our recently launched Encelium X Advanced Lighting Control System.

    Encelium X brings customers a complete light management system that includes our intuitive Polaris software and a comprehensive portfolio of networked system devices — from advanced sensors to easy-to-use keypads. Encelium X has everything customers need for exceptional lighting control.

    Based in our Markham, Ontario, Canada development center, The Front End Developer is part of a cross-functional collaborative group that is highly supportive and engaged.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You will be building apps that set up and control Smart Buildings’ advanced lighting control systems.
    • You will work closely with product management to identify and define compelling interactions following user-centered design.
    • You will build with APIs and shareable functionality in mind.

  • Embedded Firmware Developer — Toronto

    Your Role

    As part of the Digital Lumens, Inc. development team, the Embedded Firmware Developer will be working on our recently launched Encelium X Advanced Lighting Control System.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You will be building firmware for a wide range of wireless mesh devices and traditional wired devices.
    • You will be working collaboratively with local and remote teams to develop the current and next generation of smart devices.
    • On-site and remote troubleshooting of wireless or wired devices (using standard debug methods such as traffic sniffers)

  • Sr. Manager of Product Marketing — Global

    Your Role

    The Sr. Manager of Product Marketing plays a critical role in our business’s value creation and revenue-generating activities by introducing products to the global market with impact and supporting the global sales efforts to sell the products by eliminating all roadblocks for successful market adoption.

    Your focus areas of accountability include global product launch plans and execution, sales enablement, and market awareness.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You will manage, lead, and develop the Product Marketing function.
    • You will work with our global marketing team to determine the most appealing features of our products and promote them to prospective and current customers.
    • You must be an expert on our entire product line (Encelium and Digital Lumens) hardware, software, and services and understand the product features to properly market them and inform customers of their value and benefits.
    • You will be responsible for conducting thorough research on competitors and performing market research to understand what consumers look for in their ideal products.
    • You will utilize this market research and your knowledge of our products to develop engaging and educational product marketing campaigns that reach a broad target audience - both current customers (renewals, expansions) and new customers. In addition, the research and insights will be integral to the Product Management team for new product design and existing product enhancements.
    • You will also collaborate with the sales and sales partner teams to educate them on the products’ features and to monitor the sales and revenue these products bring in.
    • You will be a key spokesperson and thought leader for Digital Lumens, Inc. representing us at trade shows and conferences.
    • You understand Digital Lumens, Inc.’s strategic and competitive position to leverage stakeholder insights, market analysis, and consider business goals when prioritizing market awareness programs and messaging strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • You will drive sales enablement by ensuring consistent, sustainable, and differentiated content is available when and where it is needed for all stakeholder dialogs in the buying process for all offerings by geography, channel, and vertical.
    • Working directly with the other central business functions, you are responsible for ensuring that all outbound communication speaks with a familiar voice regarding value and differentiation and that all inbound communications are heard and able to be acted upon.
    • In close coordination with Marketing, maintain and communicate a roadmap of communication vehicles to support achieving all sales goals and channel and market engagement initiatives as measured by improving external NPS (net promoter score).

  • Applications Engineer — North America

    Your Role

    The Applications Engineer plays a critical role in value creation and revenue-generating activities by virtue of their involvement in pre/post sales end-user customer engagement. The Applications Engineer is an expert at understanding the customer’s business challenges and articulating a vision of a solution to those challenges using the Digital Lumens, Inc. portfolio of products.

    The Applications Engineer is at the same time a technical wizard and a storyteller who can engage their audience in a discussion of the potential to realize value for their business and growth for their career while building sales and account relationship momentum. What’s more, the Applications Engineer has a learning mindset that enables them to read and react to the situation, displaying the situation fluency to engage customers up and down their organization, and bring back those learnings to inform product roadmaps and advance sales enablement.

    Key areas of accountability: Solution Selling, Application Deployment, Customer Success, Market and Customer trends and insights to inform product roadmap and Sales Enablement.

    This position is North America-based. You’ll travel between 30-50% of the time, primarily within North America.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Development and implementation, in coordination with the regional sales manager and Value-Added Reseller (VAR) partner network, of the solutions selling strategy for end-user customers. Training, mentoring and developing the partner network along the way.
    • Understand Digital Lumens, Inc.’s strategic and competitive position to drive market adoption of Digital Lumens’ industry-leading solutions and leverage stakeholder insights, market analysis, and company priorities in driving customer engagement and winning business for existing and new to the world products.
    • Collect customer insights via site audits to understand lighting, monitoring, metering, and asset tracking requirements that can be used in the design of implementations to achieve targeted business and operational outcomes and then work with VAR partners to deploy the solutions and ensure they deliver the results.
    • Use and enhance existing and develop new tools to support the economic value assessment of deploying Digital Lumens, Inc. products for process and environmental monitoring and metering and asset tracking (people, goods, equipment) for specific customer facilities. Use these insights to support selling activities and assess the achievement of customer outcomes after deployment.

  • Inside Sales Representative — North America

    Your Role

    As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be tasked to identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities through several partnerships. You will work closely with our Digital Lumens and Encelium brands sales representatives in in-person and video conference calls to develop territory sales strategies. You will also work with third-party channels to drive our pipeline and business through a series of in-person and remote training. As part of the sales process, you will identify key decision-makers, profile accounts, assess revenue potential, and assist in closing deals.
    Successful candidates will have an entrepreneurial mentality combined with an analytical and data-centric approach. They will enjoy reaching out to prospects and partners to drive business.

    Key areas of accountability: Solution Selling, Application Deployment, Customer Success, Market and Customer trends and insights to inform product roadmap and Sales Enablement.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Build awareness, educate, and drive genuine interest.
    • Develop programs designed to identify and qualify new business opportunities and expand Digital Lumens and Encelium brand's footprint within existing accounts.
    • Communicate directly with prospects; recommend high-level solutions based on their needs; develop rapport and gather the information that will allow us to improve our relations, qualify the opportunity, and pass on to our Account Managers to close business.

    What we would like
    • Strong listening and communication skills (verbal & written) are crucial as an Inside Sales Representative. You need to know when to talk and when to listen. Representatives will also learn how to listen for common objections and utilize sales training to overcome them.
    • Skills in persuasion and influencing in closing a sale. Salespersons will learn to build relationships, develop trust, and learn when to persuade.
    • Excellent presentation skills utilizing remote meeting and presentation tools such as Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint.
    • Previous experience in inside sales or field sales is desirable but not a must.

  • Electrical Engineer — Boston

    Your Role

    As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of our tightly-knit Boston-based inter-disciplinary team of engineers developing the world’s most intelligent and energy-efficient lighting control systems.

    Your Responsibilities

    • You'll be responsible for the electrical design for a family of solid-state LED luminaires, lighting controls, and wireless sensors.
    • You'll design, test, and debug complex electrical systems.
    • You'll have ownership of all product development phases, including specification, design, testing, documentation, manufacturing, and support.

    Your Qualifications and Skills

    What we would like
    • You'll need a BS in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree desired.
    • You have experience designing electronics for high-volume applications.
    • You also have previous experience with microcontrollers and firmware development.
    • You have knowledge of and experience with switching power supplies.
